Needsexpansion for computing

The improvement of Watt's steam engine marked the commencement of the first industrial revolution, and human beings moved from farming civilization to industrial civilization; The principle of electromagnetic induction inspired the second industrial revolution, and human society entered the electrical age. The third industrial revolution marked by information technology and the fourth industrial revolution characterized by AI have exerted great influence on our economy and society. In the digital age, data is a new means of production, computing is a new productive force, and a new industrial revolution has swept through. The network, computing, and intelligence are omnipresent. Whoever has powerful computing holds the key tothe future. Standing at the new starting point of computing age, mankind has entered the turning point of wisdom age.

With the rapid growth of global data traffic and the vigorous development of public cloud, the growth of global computing has obviously lagged behind compared with the growth of data in recent 10 years. At the same time, along with a large amount of data demand generated by smart cars, AI and machine learning, the computing gap continues to emerge. With the continuous construction and improvement of 5G network, the Internet of Everything is accelerated. At the same time, multiple scenarios with larger bandwidth and lower latency appear. Massive data continues to emerge, and the data structure changes from single mode to multi-mode. Unstructured data is increasing day by day, which requires higher real-time processing of massive and complex data. In the next 5-10 years, it will be the blowout critical point of exponential growth of data volume, and the supply of computing needs expansion.
